1. (Proper Noun-Neuter) a series of super fast, fully air conditioned high priority train run by Indian Railways. They are short to medium distance day train and return to the point of origin on the same day. The Bhopal Shatabdi Express is the fastest among them and runs at 150 km per hour in some parts.
